For August’s History Bites, we will hear from staff of the Calapooia Watershed Council. They will discuss the history of Watershed Councils in Oregon and what they do broadly. They will then discuss in detail the CWC’s Albany Oxbows Fish Habitat and Passage Restoration suite of projects in the Albany Oxbows complex downstream of town. They will cover the natural and human history of the site, what they are going to be doing to restore quality habitat to the site, and what the future might hold.
History Bites is free to attend! Light refreshments provided.
