History Bites - Women's History in American Politics

For Women's History Month, Albany Regional Museum will feature a talk based on two historical aspects of the American woman finding her voice in politics. The first focus is the Gilded Age Suffragists, and the second is the later entrance of Frances Perkins, the first female Secretary of Labor, who provided Franklin Delano Roosevelt with the social programs with which he is credited.

This talk is presented by Hilary Rayvis Randall. She is a Salem resident and has been a docent at Deepwood Museum and Gardens, where she also speaks at their Teas and History Talks. Hilary is currently the Vice President of Deepwood Museum's Board of Directors.

History Bites is free to attend! Light refreshments provided.
